YouTuber Apologizes After Accidentally Posting A Video Showing Her Slapping & Yelling At Her Dog!

YouTuber accidentally uploads video showing her abusing dog

YouTubers aren’t always like they seem in their videos!

Some are more anxious, others are less glammed out, and at least one of them has physically abused the pet who helped launch her into moderate YouTube fame.

Brooke Houts, who boasts over 340,000 subscribers, is getting serious heat after accidentally sharing unedited footage showing her punching and appearing to spit on her dog, Sphinx — which is ironic, given the fact that most of her channel is dedicated to her relationship with the Doberman.

Houts’ following has grown over the past few years largely thanks to the vlogs she posts with Sphinx, which include videos showing a day in the life with her pet, their morning routine, and other seemingly cute recordings.

But it’s apparently a different story behind the scenes, as the YouTuber mistakenly uploaded a video showing her growing very frustrated with the dog before lashing out, slapping, and forcefully shoving him.

The video was quickly deleted, but not before a viewer was able to record and repost it.  You can see in the clip (below), Brooke is giving the dog SERIOUS side eye for, well, being a dog before getting physical with him:

Naturally, fans were outraged. Twitter user @shoe0nhead slammed Houts for her behavior, claiming she “uses this dog for clicks and straight up beats it behind the scenes.”

The YouTuber responded to the outrage on Tuesday night with a long apologetic statement on Twitter, saying she was sorry she acted “aggressively” toward her pet and insisted she’s “NOT a dog abuser or animal abuser in any way, shape or form.”

Brooke went on to explain she was extra upset the day of shooting the video because “things in [her] outside life have been less than exceptional,” adding that she is “rarely [as] upset as what was shown in the footage.”

But she acknowledged her bad mood did not justify getting physical with the dog. She also claimed she did not spit on the animal, continuing:

“Anyone who knows me personally knows I have an immense love for animals, including my own. I would never do anything to purposefully physically or mentally harm any animal. Again, I should NOT have yelled at him or as been as physically aggressive as I was, and I’m fully aware of that. He was not hurt, nor has he ever been physically hurt by me. I know I’ll be in many future situations where he’s being physical, but I will not respond this way again.”

Hmmm…

Should we throw Brook a bone here?

A lot of people don’t think so, apparently, as enough complaints have been given to the LAPD to start an investigation, according to NBC!

Thoughts??
