Okay, so, we don't hate this, but it is rather underwhelming.
Anna Kendrick chose a simple strapless navy gown with tulle panels and a sheer skirt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner tonight.
The Pitch Perfect 2 star posed with Mae Whitman, who also rocked a blue gown, although hers was a little sloppy-looking.
Next to Mae, Anna's dress looked considerably better than it would on its own, if we can be blunt.
And unlike Michelle Branch, Anna really worked her tousled hairdo!

But despite matching the red carpet, the actress still stood out at Geffen Playhouse’s Backstage at the Geffen Gala in El Lay on Saturday.
She even went all out, pairing her ensem with scarlet Christian Louboutins, a matching Rauwolf clutch, and Jack Vartanian jewelry.
Overall it’s not as sexy as some of her other looks, but hey, she still did this outfit right!
