Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad sat through a painful day together earlier this month to do their first joint photo shoot in two years!

The former friends - together with Audrina and Whitney - are on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone.

There's no side-by-side Heidi/Lauren action, though. The two gals were kept apart.

And, of course, Montag and Audrina are the hoochies in panties, while Conrad and Whitney opted for more demure lingerie.

Do they really hate each other???

The New Yorker has written one of the best articles on The Hills eva!

Here are a few of the HIGHlights from their piece:

- "Most of the conversations start with one or another of the girls asking Lauren what she did the night before, and, constant as the questions are, they seem to be asked not out of curiosity but out of obligation, as if the girls were being paid to ask—as, indeed, they are."

- "As for Lauren, she is smart enough to get as much gold as she can out of “The Hills” before it’s too late, and has started a fashion line, for which she has received, naturally, an undue amount of press attention, even though the clothes are sub-Old Navy in design."

- "I have yet to hear any character on the show say something interesting or funny…or see anything that expands my sense of what it’s like to be a young person in Los Angeles."

- "But The Hills isn’t aiming to stimulate or inspire; I think people watch it mostly to figure out why they’re watching it. For younger viewers—who are the intended audience for the series—it may be a soothing fantasy about coming of age, and give them the sense that even after they leave their parents’ house they will still be the center of attention, the way these girls are.

During last night's episode of our favorite scripted show on television, The Hills…

Audrina's hair was done up two completely different ways during the SAME "scene."

Seems like there were some reshoots possibly done and the continuity person needs to be fired!

Audrina Patridge, who sent in nudie pics to Playboy at age 18 and got rejected, was welcomed by Robin Antin in Las Vegas on Friday night.

The Hills star INTRODUCED the Pussycat Dolls' Sin City troupe but did not perform.

Why not???

That would require her to have talent!

We kid. We kid.

We love Audrina, but if you're gonna get all dolled up, at least jump in the martini glass and shake your maracas!

How lame is it that Ashton's Pop Fiction show has already resorted to booking D-listers like this girls from The Hills????

Yes, Audrina's new tattoo was a stupid publicity stunt for Ashton's show.

The tat reads "fried rice made with pork oil."

Ashton needs to come up with some better ideas. Other than the Paris one, all the stunts for his show have seriously sucked!

Audrina Patridge decided to get a tattoo on Thursday. Oh, yeah, and she invited the paparazzi inside the store while she got her ink done!

The Hills star got her work done at Blackwave tattoo parlor in Los Angeles.

She walked out with that huge piece on her arm!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't she have gone for something a little more discrete and sexy????

Playboy magazine doesn't love girls with tattoos!

Audrina was accompanied by her sister, Casey, who is covered in tattoos.

Let's hope Audrina doesn't go down that same direction too!

It's war!

Lauren Conrad is not happy with Us Weekly.

The Hills star feels the mag twisted her words in their cover story, which proclaims she was "betrayed" by Audrina and Brody.

L.C. just posted the following message about the situation on her blog:

"Clearing things up……

Hey! I just wanted to take a moment to clear something up. I recently did an interview to talk about the show coming back on and what everyone had to look forward to. Unfortunately it was turned into yet another "poor me" story. The article itself is a nice one but it follows headlines that, in no way, represent my words or feelings. I do not feel betrayed by Audrina or Brody. I love them both and said nothing to contradict this. I understand that headlines sell magazines, but I value my friendships above magazine sales any day.

On a more positive note, I got to see some of the first episode yesterday and it looks amazing. I’m sooooooo excited for everyone to see Paris. Best wishes and I hope everyone tunes in Monday."

Holy shizz, Audrina's sister is hardcore!!!

The sweet and innocent looking The Hills star took her sis, Casey Patridge, to the Nicole Khristine 2008 Spring Collection Jewelry Launch at Social Hollywood on Thursday.

She doesn't have one tattoo or two. She has a whole sleeve!

AND some on her chest!
