The local television station owned by NBC that covers the area including Newtown, Connecticut, will NOT be broadcasting Megyn Kelly's highly controversial interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

No good can come from interviewing Alex Jones.

That's what Nicole Hockley, the mother of a victim from the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, made clear when she asked NBC to pull Megyn Kelly's upcoming interview with the conspiracy theorist.

For those who don't know, the Infowars host's most controversial claim is that the harrowing 2012 school shooting — which claimed the lives of 26 people — never happened.

Well, the mother of 6-year-old victim Dylan Hockley, and co-founder of Sandy Hook Promise, understandably doesn't want Jones bringing his crackpot theories to a larger audience.

Hockley sent a letter to NBC News chairman Andrew Lack, urging him to cancel the broadcast of Kelly's interview with Jones. She wrote:
