This looks like one hell of a moving story.

While Patriots Day told the story of the Boston Marathon bombing in its entirety, Stronger takes a look at one particular survivor — and his struggle long after that tragic day.

Jeff Bauman, played by Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, went to the marathon to cheer on his girlfriend (Tatiana Maslany) and ended up losing both his legs.

But it was the fight that came after that defined him.

According to the medical examiner, the 29-year-old was discovered by his twin who unsuccessfully tried to rescue him.

TMZ reports the actor suffered from schizoaffective disorder, which is a combination of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia where one can experience hallucinations and depression. He reportedly "fought for his life every day."

After starring in the hit blockbuster, Hank ran a martial arts school, and also appeared in the 2017 documentary Cleanin' Up the Town: Remembering Ghostbusters.
