In light of the Dark Knight rampage undertaken by James Holmes at an Aurora, CO movie theater Friday which left 12 dead and 59 injured, politicians and celebrities have spoken in favor of stricter gun control laws in the US.
It has been confirmed that Holmes purchased the weapons used in the attack, an AR-15 assault rifle, a Remmington 12-guage shotgun and 2 40-caliber glock handguns, LEGALLY.
AND, it is suspected that James garnered inspiration from DC Comics' Joker character - a famous villain in the Batman universe who was expertly portrayed by the late Heath Ledger in 2008's The Dark Knight.
Heath Ledger's father is now speaking out regarding this fatal, depraved event, and expressed:
Seriously …. you might need a bit of a refresher!
And this is epic, epic, epic, epic, EPIC, rinse and repeat, ad infinitum!

At this rate, The Dark Knight Rises might outgross John Carter before opening night, LOLz!!
The pre-sale numbers for Christopher Nolan's next and — supposedly — last Batman film are a clear bat-signal of success on the horizon!
The demand is soooo ridiculously high that IMAX screens across the country are even selling out $40 triple features that start with Batman Begins, continue with Heath Ledger's Dark Knight, and finish with a midnight premiere of TDKR!!
In our professional opinion, this has less to do with

Unless you live under a rock, it's no surprise to hear that The Dark Knight Rises is going to be a blockbuster. Like a big, BIG blockbuster.
In fact, it's going to make so much money at the box office that it is the only 2012 release that has a chance of beating any of the records set by The Avengers.
The final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is expected to make over $150 million during its opening weekend in July, which is what Marvel's movie was expected to rake in before it ACTUALLY made $207.4 million!

Aww. Let's hug it out!
After Christian Bale’s emotional break down at the MTV Movie Awards last night, some critics are asking “why so serious?”
To hype up the audience for The Dark Knight Rises, MTV edited together a montage of the first two Batman films and played it while Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman were all on stage.
Included were several scenes of Heath Ledger’s posthumous portrayal of The Joker.
Bale was visibly choked up after viewing the stirring footage, even though it's been over four years since his friend and co-star passed away.
Batman smiled at the large crowd gathered at the Gibson Amphitheater and told them:

Sold! To the young man from District 12!
Josh Hutcherson reportedly bought Heath Ledger’s Hollywood Hills home this week.
The asking price of late actor’s acre casa recently dropped down to a shade under $3 million but we aren’t sure whether Josh ponied up the full amount.
We do know that he already bought all the booze he needs to throw a SWEET house-warming party so stay tuned for mugshot pictures from that!
The locals reportedly call Josh's new home "The Tree House," as the whole property is packed with dense foliage.
Hmmm.
