The popular show that ran for 13 years is being revived on TNT.

Dallas is returning and audiences will follow the Ewing's family quest for oil once again.

The 2012 version will be a continuation of the series, as several originals like Patrick Duffy, Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, and Charlene Tilton.

New stars include Jordana Brewster, Josh Henderson, and Jesse Metcalfe.

Dallas, a popular 80s television series, centered around resentful rivalries and power struggles within a Texan oil and cattle-ranching dynasty.

The prime time soap opera ran from 1978 to 1991 before it finished, leaving its audience shocked with the jaw-dropping, almost David Lynch-like final scene.

Known for its wealth, sex, intrigue and drama, Dallas is being REBOOTED on TNT with an order of ten episodes to begin airing summer 2012.

Michael Wright, executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, states:

We've got some eXXXciting news about the new Dallas for ya!

Last we heard about the Dallas reboot, Desperate Housewives' Josh Henderson had joined the cast, and Jesse Metcalfe was up for the role of Bobby and Pam Ewing's adopted son Christopher.

Since then, Metcalfe has officially landed the role alongside a cast that includes Josh Henderson as J.R.'s son, Larry Hagman as J.R., Step By Step's Patrick Duffy as Bobby, Linda Gray as Sue Ellen, and Jordana Brewster as Elena.

During a recent interview, Jordana Brewster spoke up about Dallas, and how it will feature lots of sex:

"Josh [Henderson] and I got to know each other very well. My opening scene, literally our first day, was on my birthday, and I shot in only a man's shirt, so that should tell you something. [It's] a sexy show for sure."

"I mean, I thought it was pretty sexy back then. Pamela and Bobby had some pretty sexy scenes. Yeah and he always had his shirt off, Patrick Duffy."

"There will be plenty of shirts off and there will be plenty of sex."

Will U tune in to Dallas for the sex? Or will U mostly be watching for Patrick Duffy? Ha!

Last week, we learned that Desperate Housewives' Josh Henderson would be joining the cast of the new Dallas, along with several actors from the original series.

Now, it looks like another Desperate Housewives actor, Jesse Metcalfe, is up for a major role in the new TNT reboot series.

Metcalfe and up-and-coming actor Alex Russell are finalists for the role of Bobby and Pam Ewing's adopted son Christopher in Dallas.

So far, actors attached to the show include Josh Henderson as J.R.'s son, Larry Hagman as J.R., Step By Step's Patrick Duffy as Bobby, Linda Gray as Sue Ellen, and Jordana Brewster as Elena.

As we mentioned before, the original show was a drama series about the Ewings, a mega-rich oil family dealing with greed and love and all of that entertaining shizz! The show was also known for its major cliff-hangers!

Wow, NBC must be really desperate.

They just hired LeAnn Rimes' homewrecking man Eddie Cibrian for a multi-episode arc on their new Fall drama Chase.

The show centers around a team of U.S. marshals that hunt America's top fugitives. The douchebag actor, who was recently fired from CSI: Miami, will reportedly play a bounty hunter.

The show also stars Jesse Metcalfe so it's pretty safe to say both Z-list actors will be unemployed again pretty soon.

Life & Style is reporting that has-been Jesse Metcalfe was spotted in Miami drinking all day and making out with girls at the Shore Club, even though he has a girlfriend AND has been to rehab!

Take it easy, Jesse — although it's not like you have a career to worry about!

Jesse Metcalfe landed a role on the new NBC drama Chase. The series, which comes from Jerry Bruckheimer, follows US marshals who track down the country's most dangerous fugitives.

Ha! His eyebrows give him away.
