As you may recall, the America's Got Talent judge, Geri (Halliwell) Horner, and Emma Bunton got fans all worked up when they announced they'd be reuniting as a trio, called GEM, in order to celebrate their '90s girl group's 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, both Victoria Beckham and Melanie C decided to not be apart of the reunion!
But who knows if it is even happening anymore as there haven't been any updates on the tour since the threesome's announcement in July. Sigh!
And Scary Spice didn't really squash those rumors as she noted in a interview with The Daily Telegraph:
As you surely know, things were a bit strained between the members of the iconic girl group as Melanie C and Victoria Beckham decided they did NOT want to partake in a 20th anniversary tour. This led to Mel B calling her former bandmates "b*tches" on James Corden's The Late Late Show — oh, and she even unfollowed Sporty Spice on Twitter at one point.
Despite their estrangement, things seem to be heading in a positive direction as Mel C recently dished to The Daily Star:
This is certainly a… strange… request coming from Victoria Beckham!
The former pop star-turned-fashion icon has made her point about the Spice Girls reunion that she will absolutely not be a part of, and the point is… she doesn't want the remaining girls to sing any of their own songs.
What the what?!
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Victoria had an inneresting and bizarre take on whether the girls should sing Spice Girls songs, saying:
Friendship may never end for the Spice Girls, but performing as a five-member girl group is a whole different story.
Scary Spice confirmed that some of the group would "perform and celebrate" in honor of the 20th anniversary of their first album — revealing that only she, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton would be spicing up our lives this time around.
When Corden asked why the group would be performing as a trio, the America's Got Talent judge put it bluntly, quipping:
Melanie C just hammered the final nail in the Spice Girls' coffin — but it sounds pretty damn good!
Though some fans held onto a sliver of hope that she would change her mind and belt out Wannabe one more time, we think it's safe to say that the sun has set on Sporty Spice. (For now!)
But that's not all bad news, because the 42-year-old just released a new club BANGER Anymore — and it will definitely spice up your life to a degree.
Unlike Victoria Beckham, at least Mel C's absence from the Spice Girls still results in new music! Anymore can be found on the upcoming album Version of Me out October 21!

So we already know that the Spice Girls reunion tour is just going to be a three-person affair, but now we know WHY we're left with GEM!
And in a brand new piece for Love Magazine, Melanie C explains exactly why she stepped away from it all, sharing her touching and highly personal story with a little insight into the legendary girl group!
She started off by taking us down her road towards fame, explaining that she's not in the entertainment business just to get famous (below):
She's obviously too busy to do that Spice Girls reunion tour anyways!
The British star has teamed up with south London duo Sons of Sonix on a brand new track called Numb that we are just hearing for the first time!
And now, you can too!!
Produced in El Lay and a part of her upcoming seventh studio album, the track was released on iTunes and other music download and streaming services on Friday morning.
There's also a lyric video up of the track, too! Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
