Intruder Broke Into Mike Tyson's Hotel Room While He Was Sleeping

Filed under: Boxing > Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson intruder

And made it out alive! Crazy, right?

While Mike Tyson was staying at the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Las Vegas last Saturday night, some creep broke into his hotel room -- while the boxer was sleeping!

Tyson retired to the room with his family after enjoying Stevie Wonder's New Year's Eve concert. He awoke in the middle of the night to rustling noises and a flashlight, but before the former heavyweight champion of the world could get up to go toe-to-toe, the intruder ran out.

We definitely kinda wish Tyson had a chance to catch this weirdo, but if that were the case, Mike might have been going to trial for murder.

Weirdest part is that nothing was stolen or missing, but the hotel is investigating the incident anyway. It's like some drunk dude was just following through with a triple dog dare or something.

Was somebody trying to reenact The Hangover? Just as a heads up, we're pretty sure he leaves the Tiger at home.

charlie-sheen-comedy-central-roast

Personally, we wouldn't want to celebrate someone's deplorable behavior as a drug-addicted abuser of women, but apparently, that's exactly what went down at Comedy Central's Roast of Charlie Sheen!

Hangover II Tattoo Legal Dramz Finally Settled!

Tat Stays in the Hangover II

Good news! Ed Helm's giant face tattoo in The Hangover Part II is staying in The Hangover Part II!

Tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill's lawsuit against Warner Bros. for the use of the trademarked design he tattooed on Mike Tyson's face in 2003 has been resolved.

This news comes after the studio had planned to digitally alter the tattoo in the film for DVD release, but fortunately the two parties struck a deal after an all-day mediation in St. Louis on Friday.

Although we imagine Mr. Whitmill received a hefty check since the film has grossed around $500 million all over the world, what happens in the courtroom apparently stays in the courtroom. No details of the settlement have been released and it sounds like that's the way both parties want to keep it, as Whitmill's attorney said:

“Warner Bros. and Mr. Whitmill have amicably resolved their dispute. No other information will be provided.”

Bummer. We'd definitely like to know how much cash a tattoo design can get you if it sneaks into a major motion picture.

How much money do U think this guy got from Warner Bros. for the use of his design in The Hangover Part II?

Warner Brothers To Digitally Alter Mike Tyson Tattoo On DVD Of The Hangover, Part 2 To Avoid Legal Trouble!

warner-brothers-to-digitally-alter-mike-tyson-tatto-in-dvd-release-of-the-hangover-part-2-to-avoid-lawsuit

Wow - this is going to crazier than those blacked out bikinis they put on Elizabeth Berkley on the TV version of Showgirls!

After tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill sued Warner Brothers over ripping off the usage the tribal face ink that he inscribed on Mike Tyson back in 2003 on Ed Helms' character in The Hangover, Part 2, the judge thankfully refused to block the movie's release.

However, in order to prevent anymore legal drama, the studio has now filed new docs asserting that the intend to go in and digitally alter the tattoo's design for the DVD release of the flick!

They claim:

"Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’s face."

Wow! We imagine that is going to cost them a pretty penny!

But not as much as another potential lawsuit could have cost them, especially given their massive box office profits, so we suppose it's a win-win!

We wonder what the new design is going to look like though!

We suggest a Born This Way unicorn! LOLz!

What do U think?? Of what should Ed's new tat be?

Tattoo Lawsuit Could Delay The Release Of The Hangover, Part II!

mike-tyson-tattoo-lawsuit-could-delay-release-of-the-hangover-part-2

Holy shiz! We guess he has some serious legal standing!

As we reported, award-winning tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill, who is responsible for the design inked on Mike Tyson's face, recently filed a lawsuit against Warner Brothers for depicting a similar tattoo on Ed Helm's character in the upcoming Hangover, Part II, claiming that he was never asked permission for its usage.

Well, it looks like the case is moving forward, and if the judge rules in his favor, it would effectively block the much-anticipated sequel from being released!

Warner Brothers has responded to the suit in a brief to Judge Catherine D. Perry, claiming that a delay in releasing the film would incur massive costs, and asserting that Whithill charges are just a 'radical claim that he is entitled, under the Copyright Act, to control the use of a tattoo that he created on the face of another human being' and that the film's usage of the design falls under 'fair use' because Tyson and his ink are well-known in pop culture.

We're not going to lie, this case really does raise a lot of fascinating questions about intellectual property law!

But we hope that they can reach some sort of resolution - and fast!

If Warner Brothers loses this one, this movie is going to be EFFED!

What do U think?? Does Whithill have a fair argument??

And as of today, both have joined the cast!

According to Gente magazine, the two have reached a final agreement to join the show.

And in an even better twist, the show will also have its first ever homosexual pair featuring theater director José María Muscari and dancer Pier Fritzche.
