Nick Cannon was spotted in New York City on Thursday.

The newly married star looked surprised to see the paparazzi as he left his hotel. Get used it buddy, at least for the few months you're married to Mimi!

Cannon tried to keep his wedding ring covered from the view of photographers - douche - and he was carrying an expensive Louis Vuitton murse that Mariah probably gave him.

Speaking of Carey…

In a world-wide exclusive, Mimi is confirmed to make her first TV appearance since marrying Nick Cannon, on Ellen. The show will tape 5/12 to air 5/13.

Talk only, no performance.

And she better talk about the wedding and everything - a lot!

What a Diva!

As we mentioned earlier this week, Mariah Carey was set to perform next week in Dubai (on May 15th).

Her concert was to be followed by a Fergie concert the following day.

However, Mimi has just cancelled the show. And, guess what?

Fergie cancelled too!

Sucks for Dubai.

According to the official press release that just came out today, it sates, "Midas Promotions along with Blue Giraffe Entertainment and On Golden Pond Pictures regret to announce the 'Divas in Dubai' concert event is being rescheduled to a later date in the Fall 2008."

Oh that's right. They're calling it "rescheduled" or "postponed."

It goes on to say, “Mariah and Fergie are disappointed that they won’t be able to perform. They had scheduled this one special event in their calendars and were looking forward to performing for the Dubai fans.”

Hah, yea right.

We can figure out why Mimi cancelled. She just got married, her name is everywhere in the press, she probably wants to hide away for a bit.

But why would Fergie cancel? Her life seems pretty boring these days and it's not like she couldn't use the extra money!

As for the "official" reason for the cancellation postponement, it states that “the extremely compressed time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications compelled us to move the event later in the year to ensure a show commensurate with the level of success of these world class Artists and the people of Dubai.”

Riiiiiight.

And for those unfortunate ones that already purchased tickets, no worries. Your credit cards will be refunded within 2-4 weeks. Fun.

Now let's hope Nick Carey doesn't pull a Mariah and cancel on an important CHARITY event!

The wedding which has surprised many, turns out might was planned in advance.

Mariah Carey, Nick Carey and their 24 guests arrived via two private jets in the Bahamas on April 29th.

When they departed the planes, everyone came out with drinks in their hands and in a very "party" mode, says an eyewitnesses.

Upon arrival, Mariah and Nick headed to her $5 million home (now his too!) nearby while guests checked in to the hotel. The next day, Mariah and Nick were married at noon on the patio of her mansion overlooking the ocean.

How romantic!

An airport waitress tells Life & Style that "Mariah's assistant arrived on Eleuthera Island, just off the coast of Windermere, on April 27 to start making arrangements. The next day, a commercial jet arrived from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., carrying two huge tanks of live Maine lobsters."

They don't have lobster in the Bahamas????

Also flying in a few days ahead were Mimi's security team and several staff members to get the home ready in time.

Seems the last minute, surprise wedding was pretty well thought-out and planned for.

An insider adds, "Whenever Mariah travels, they set up for her beforehand. And it's no joke. If anything she needs or wants is missing, she'll be upset."

The flowers were also flown in on a private jet with the florist waiting to set up.

As for the cake, Mariah took care of that herself. She flew the cake over with her in her own private jet.

A source adds, "It was on the seat next to her. She wouldn't let anyone come near it or touch it."

Bridezilla!!!!!

We still wonder how long these two will last. They hardly even know each other!

Was Mariah Carey smart enough to get a prenup made in time for her "impromptu" wedding?

Her accountants can breathe a sigh of relief!

It seems like her lawyers took care of business!

According to insiders, Mariah told a friend "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

Poor Nick Cannon Carey. He won't be entitled to much of anything that Mariah has once they file for divorce.

Thankfully, Mariah thought ahead! She probably learned her lesson after getting divorced from douchebag Tommy Mottola.

Mimi's raking in the millions now and she needs to keep it in her bank. She's had three hit albums since her divorce in the '90s. She has several millions invested in real estate. She owns her own perfume line. Oh yeah, and she also gets publishing rights since her name is on every song.

As for the wedding, Mariah was walked down the aisle by her cousin, Shawn McDonald.

According to insiders, when Mariah and Nick return from their honeymoon, they plan on having a large party. And perhaps even a second ceremony.

Who cares about the party, though.

THANK GOD she got a prenup!

They honeymoon will soon be over!

While Mariah Carey is set to perform in Dubai next week - on May 15th - her new husband, Nick Cannon, is scheduled to be the celebrity DJ for the Operation Smile gala in the NYC on the SAME DAY, PerezHilton.com has learned.

Seems like he won't be making it to Dubai with his honey!

Nick better not cancel on the charity. That would be sooooo uncool.

Operation Smile is an amazing organization that gets volunteers out into all corners of the world to repair childhood facial deformities.

Will Nick do as he has promised and DJ at the gala?

Don't be an ass and bail. Do it for the kids, Nick!

We're sure Mariah will understand. She is one of the organization's celebrity ambassadors.

Mariah Carey had met Nick Cannon at an awards show or two, but the first time the first got to really know each other was on the set of her new music video for Bye Bye, which she shot in late March and JUST released.

Cannon co-stars in the video with Carey as, you guessed it, her romantic interest.

And, it's fascinating watching it and knowing that those sun-filled days in the Caribbean was the beginning of their fast and full-throttle relationship, which resulted in a surprise wedding last week - after little more than a month of dating.

Watching this video now has much more subtext to it!

Extra reports that newlywed Mariah Carey cancelled her previously schedule appearance for this Monday with the ladies at The View.

No explanation was provided.

And we don't need one!

Mimi's must be enjoying Magic Nick's stick.
