When a member from the audience asked Gwynnie what aspect of her life didn't turn out the way she planned, the Iron Man star frankly responded:
"My marriage. I am from a tribe of people who stay married. My parents stayed married until my dad died. I really don't come from a culture of divorce at all, and I had very high hopes for what my life could be."
GP and Chris "consciously uncoupled" over a year ago and have two children together, Moses, 9, and Apple, 11.
Paltrow's parents, filmmaker Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, wed in 1969 and were married until 2002 when her father passed away from cancer.
It was difficult for the Gwyneth and Chris to say goodbye to over a decade of marriage, especially when their two kiddos were involved:
"I think that it was very difficult for me that I couldn't do that and that I wasn't able to be married to the father of my children for the rest of my life. It was very challenging for me in terms of having to re-assess what that said about me, ideas that I had about that kind of failure."
Fortunately, they've been able to remain close and spend time together as a family — for the kid's sake:
"Luckily my ex-husband is an incredibly good ex-husband and an amazing dad."
Sounds like they are handling the situation the best way possible!

Talk about a dream wedding!
On Tuesday, Amy Poehler and Portlandia's Carrie Brownstein were floored when two fans asked for an impromptu wedding ceremony at Miz Brownstein's book Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl: A Memoir's book signing in Pasadena, CA.
The Parks and Recreation alum was leading a Q&A for her Sleater-Kinney rocker pal when Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez made their bold request.
An audience member explained:
"The couple told Carrie they'd heard from a friend that she was an ordained minister. They asked if they could get married on the spot, as they'd come prepared with their marriage license."
LOVES it! Apparently, the Saturday Night Live vet seemed more than excited at the idea of Carrie officiating the spontaneous nuptials — as she was heard encouraging her to do it.

Talk about having Focus!
Ariana Grande was a total professional and kept her cool during her recent performance on the Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater — despite having a CELLPHONE chucked at her head. Whoa!
Following the performance, the pint sized diva sat down for a Q&A and laughed about the whole, crazy incident.
What a powerful story!
Earlier this month, a picture posted by a fan pretending to be Richard Gere went viral. The message claimed that the star went undercover while filming his new flick Time Out of Mind and gave $100 to various homeless people in New York.
The real 66-year-old icon caught wind of the picture that drew more than 1.6 million likes and chose to clear up the situation.
ICYMI, read the original post (below)!
The movie follows Gere's character — homeless and mentally ill, George — as he tries to fix his relationship with his daughter, played by Jena Malone. During filming, Mr. Gere was essentially undercover in an (sometimes failed) attempt to not be recognized.
Despite not having any social media of his own, the Pretty Woman actor enlisted the help of costar Malone's Facebook profile to send a message to his fans.
We can always use a little more Bill Murray in our lives!

One of the most interesting things to come out of the candid Q&A was the legendary funnyman being asked which role "got away" form him!
In a surprising response, the Ghostbusters star revealed that it was a role he lost to Mel Gibson! He explained:
