Marvel fans, your attention please:

We know there are more than a few of you who are voicing concerns about the revamping of the Spider-Man franchise. We're hearing things like, "It's too soon!" "Who cares?" "It won't be any different than the last trilogy!"

Ah, but there is the rub, friends. It IS going to be different than the escapades of Tobey Maguire and Co. Perhaps even VASTLY different. To prove that, producer Avi Arad and our new Spidey Andrew Garfield talked about the differences at a recent press conference for the film in Tokyo.

Baz Luhrmann is the PERFECT director to adapt this!

We've been seeing A LOT of Spider-Man lately…and we're about to see a whole lot more!

First, there were the Tobey Maguire/James Franco/Kirsten Dunst Spider-Man movies……

THEN, there was Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which has been a profitable disaster on Broadway….

THEN, we heard about the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man movie, which looks FANTASTIC, and stars Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone…

NOW, a teaser has been released (above) for the upcoming video game version of The Amazing Spider-Man…and yeah, it looks cool!

What'll be next for Spider-Man? Perhaps a reality TV series? Real Spider-Men of New York City? Anyone? Anyone?

You gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em! And it seems like Tobey Maguire is all out!

You'll recall that earlier this year, Tobey was caught in a full house of trouble along with 22 other people, who were getting sued for winning money in allegedly illegal poker games from a Beverly Hills hedge fund manager. The Ponzi schemer took them all for a run for their money, but it's exactly money that will see Tobey out of this whole mess.

Yesterday, Carey, Tobey Macguire and Leonard DiCaprio were spotted filming scenes for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby in Sydney Australia. Smiles all around (mostly), the trio looked thrilled to be in their vintage garb and as we said, they don't look half bad in the peiod styles.

This really was inspired casting. Leo is the perfect Jay Gatsby. Look at the intensity in his face. And Tobey as Nick Carraway? We see it! But Carey… Carey is Daisy Buchanan. She might as well just change her name now!

We would have thought that everyone would have been cast by now!

But she is certainly a welcome audition!
