According to Tracy Morgan’s lawyer Benedict P. Morelli, the road to recovery has not been an easy one for his 45-year-old comedian client.
After a six-vehicle car crash in June, Morgan suffered several injuries that left him in critical condition. His friend and fellow comic James “Jimmy Mack” McNair was killed in the accident.
Morgan has been seen using a walker, but still relies on a wheelchair to get around. It may be months before he is fully recovered and Morelli explained this week just how hard Morgan has been struggling recently.
Just like all his other fans around the world, we've kept Tracy Morgan in our thoughts and prayers since his devastating accident.
Most of the news so far has been positive, but how is he doing now?
Tracy's attorney Benedict Morelli stopped by the Today show to give fans an update on his condition. He said:
We want Tracy Morgan to get better so badly! But after sustaining such serious injuries, we know his road to recovery is a long one.
Today, the 45-year-old funny man made his way out of his doctor’s office and into his car with the help of a walker.
We’re so thrilled to see Tracy Morgan returning home for the first time since the tragic traffic accident that seriously injured him and killed his friend, fellow comedian James McNair.
The 45-year-old former 30 Rock star has gone from the hospital to a rehabilitation center to back in his own house after suffering a broken leg and multiple broken ribs.
He was all smiles though as he pulled up the driveway to his New Jersey home!
Riding in the front passenger seat of a black SUV, Tracy rolled down his window to address a group of reporters, saying:
He may look a bit down in this pic…but we think the cameras just caught him by surprise!
Tracy Morgan is FINALLY out of a Garden State rehab facility following the tragic NJ Turnpike car crash he was involved in around the middle of June — and he looks pretty darn great!
You can clearly see the thinned out 30 Rock comedienne propped up in a wheel chair, with bandages wrapped around his left leg.
But he still looks extremely swaggy for an outgoing patient — sporting some signature style with a gold chain, bucket hat and some ultra white tennis shoes!
He's still the funny man we know and love! Continue to get well soon, dear!
We miss the laughs!
