This Speech By Football Commentator James Brown Giving Men A Call To Action To End Domestic Violence Is Awe Inspiring

James Brown

In CBS' inaugural Thursday Night Football coverage of the Ravens against the Steelers, commentator James Brown dedicated a large portion of his pre-game interview to the Ray Rice assault video.

In his speech, James touches upon Janay Rice's tragedy, past domestic violence incidents in the sport, and, even more importantly, the fear women have to endure outside of football throughout the country on a daily basis.

His statement is ever-so poignant and we think James and CBS addressed the important topic impeccably well.

Sounds Like Rihanna's NFL Performance Was Cancelled Because She Was A Victim Of Domestic Violence!

rihanna canceled baltimore ravens game cbs domestic violence

This is an odd move!

Rihanna and Kanye West were all set to perform Jay Z's Run This Town at Thursday night's NFL game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens, but CBS pulled the plug on it.

After the Ravens released Ray Rice earlier this week, the TV network didn't want to feature RiRi "due to her being a victim of a high-profile domestic violence incident," according to one report.

This is of course in reference to the incident with Chris Brown back in 2009.

Nicki Minaj Is PISSED At CBS For Cutting Parts Of Her Fashion Rocks Performance! Blasts The Network!

Filed under: TV NewsNicki MinajNew YorkFashion Week

nicki minaj slams cbs

Oh, it's ON between Nicki Minaj and CBS!!

The queen of rap wasn't happy to learn that CBS had cut parts of her Anaconda performance at the Fashion Rocks event this past Tuesday.

Unbeknownst to fans, Nicki was dying to show off some new choreography and she was sorely disappointed when fans missed out on the moves.

Nicki lamented:

My darlingz, I wish you could've seen the choreography on the 2nd verse of ANACONDA last night. It was absolutely divine. CBS decided not to show it. Had they told us this before, we would have changed the choreo so that you guys could see the full performance from beginning to end. They already had you tuned in tho. Artists spend so much of their own money, time and passion to deliver their fans great performances. But ultimately, our art usually falls into the hands of people who care nothing about our art and creativity. Promise you'll get to see this new choreo soon. Love uuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's safe to say girl is pissed.

While we're not sure why CBS decided to edit out parts of Nicki's performance, we're confident she'll find an appropriate time to debut the sexy new moves!
