Aaron Hernandez's Body Tests Positive For Synthetic Marijuana K2 — But That's Not The Only Thing Investigators Found!

The case of Aaron Hernandez's suicide just keeps getting more complicated.

Shortly after his death on April 19, several inmates told authorities the former New England Patriot might have been high on synthetic marijuana.

According to law enforcement sources speaking to Newsweek, the autopsy did indeed show traces of K2.

Subsequently, State Police did a thorough search of the entire Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center on Monday, looking the liquid marijuana, which can be smuggled into prison soaked into scraps of paper or letters.

Department of Corrections sources point out how unusual it is for State Troopers to come in and perform a search inside a prison; Internal Affairs were even involved, leading many to believe a bigger investigation into Hernandez's death and the prison itself is going on.

One thing investigators already found that wasn't on the up-and-up? It seems a corrections officer missed a round of surveillance at 2 a.m. — and Hernandez was found dead at 3:03 a.m. That officer has since been "detached with pay." Hmmm…

The prison is reportedly on lockdown as the investigation continues.

A former teacher was found guilty of raping a female relative when she was 13 years old — and responded to the verdict by taking out a razor blade and slitting his throat in the courtroom.

According to reports, Jeffrey Scott Jones was still in the hospital in stable condition as of Thursday afternoon, a day after he was taken away in handcuffs and bleeding from the Orange County Superior Court in California.

The 56-year-old was convicted of two felony counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of continuous sexual behavior.

Authorities say the repeated sexual abuse occurred between 2012-2013. According to the district attorney's statement, Jones "raped the victim" twice in May 2013, "stating that he would ruin her life if she told anyone what he was doing."

Jones had been a teacher for 27 years, though the victim was not one of his students. While the victim tried to defend Jones in trial, the prosecution gave evidence showing the teacher also had sex with two minor former students.

District attorney chief of staff Susan Kang Schroeder told People:

O.J. Simpson Is Looking WAY Too Happy In His New Mugshot — But Can He Compare To The Most Buzzworthy Mugshots Of All Time?!

O.J. Simpson sure looks pretty happy in his new mugshot (above)!

The pic was snapped at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, where the disgraced NFL alum and accused-but-acquitted murderer is serving a 33-year term after committing an armed robbery back in 2007.

You'd think that an official photo taken by prison officials… in a prison… would cause a freakin' prisoner to, uh, ya know, not smile?! But that's not the case with Orenthal James!

The former running back is all smiles and looks SO relaxed and happy in the new pic, taken to update prison records.

But he's not the only one who's taken a mugshot pic that's gone viral — far from it, in fact!!

We just had to go and add him to list of our zaniest mugshots ever… which you should check out (below)!!!
