Oh no! We bet that woman was more than sufficiently grossed out. Yuck!

A young woman in New York was sent to New York Downtown Hospital this week after she was biten by a rat. The fiend was hiding under a bench a the Chambers Street station, when the woman sat down wearing open toed shoes. Though most rats aren't so bold, this one was either super hungry or hated her shoes because it scurried directly towards her right foot and bit her. A witness recalls:

“She was crying — she was quite hysterical. She had a cut … you could see the fresh blood."

Ew! We can only imagine how frightened she was, how many diseases that critter was carrying.

The population surely has grown beyond manageable numbers, but that is why, more than ever, its important to keep the subways clean. These guys are attracted to the filth - so keep it off the J Train!

It's corny B-movie meets Shark Week meets 3D - and it looks glorious!!

Shark Night 3D tells the story of a sexy summer that suddenly turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a group of college students who are trapped on an island surrounded by voracious underwater predators.

Sara Paxton, Katharine McPhee, Alyssa Diaz and Ving Rhames join the cast ensemble.

Teddy's celeb vet Dr. Patrick Mahaney has some advice Teddy reader, Olivia, who asks:

My 1 year old pure bred black lab, Stella, has developed seizures just before her first birthday. She has had 4 in total and is now on phenobarb. I am wondering if the long term medicating for the seizures will shorten her life span? Is there any changes to her diet I should do? She is 75 lbs (but not overweight, she is a very big structured dog), and I feed her 2 cups of dog food a day, and rarely treats or human food.

Patrick's Answer:

Thank you for your interesting question. In having seizures, Stella suffers from an ailment affecting many dogs both young and old. Due to Stella's young age, her seizures are more likely to be caused by iodiopathic epilepsy, as compared to other more severe or life threatening reasons affecting older dogs.

Provided you are following your veterinarian's advice and achieving a blood Phenobarbital level appropriate controls seizures, she should well tolerate this medication for long term. There are some side effects to Phenobarbital, such as sedation, weight gain, increased appetite, and liver inflammation or damage. Use the lowest dose and frequency that controls her seizures and have baseline blood testing performed at least every 6 months to monitor vital organ function. Other medications may be needed to control seizures pending her response. If her seizures fail to be well controlled despite anti-convulsant treatment (including food changes, as below), pursue a consultation with a veterinary neurologist.

As I treat my patients form both a western and eastern (Chinese medicine) perspective, I consider the effects food energy and format (dry vs moist, whole food vs processed, etc). In Chinese medicine, one of the causes of seizures is excessive heat accumulation in the body, which can have origins in food. Go for reduced or grain free diets that are moist instead of dry. Cooling protein sources, such as turkey, duck, goose, rabbit, and fish are less likely to build heat as compared to heating proteins like beef, venison, lamb, and chicken.

A great food to consider is Lucky Dog Cuisine, which is cooked, frozen, preservative, all natural, human grade food. It is tasty, healthy stuff that most dogs absolutely love. Consider the "Turkey 'N Taters" option, which is grain free.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE PETS OR CHILDREN!

A four-month-old boy has lost SEVEN FINGERS after his parents' pet ferret gnawed them off while he was home alone.

Idiots Ryan and Carrie Waldo were charged today in Jackson County, Missouri with first-degree child endangerment.

Waldos told police they were asleep when the ferret attack occurred on January 10 in their home

The couple said they awoke to find the boy screaming and bloody.

HOWEVER, investigators obtained cells phone records to determine that the Waldos were exchanging text messages from various locations at the time of the ferret attack, when they had said they were at home.

The poor poor infant was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in critical condition, where seven fingers were amputated because they had been chewed down to the knuckles.

Thankfully heir infant son and a sibling have been removed from the parents' custody while the case proceeds.

Here's the newest "revelation" from JLo's fame seeking ex!

Ojani Noa married Jennifer Lopez in February 1997, but Noa claims that J.Lo cheated on him with P. Diddy and Miami club owner Chris Paciello.

Desperate to save their marriage, he visited the LA home of a Santeria guru with Jennifer, he says.

On a recent appearance on the Spanish-language show Frank Cairo: Sin Libreto, Noa confided that:

“At the end of the ‘90s, my black magic godmother - who is now Jennifer’s spiritual leader - was protecting me, taking care of me, helping me and guiding me like a son.”

“We participated together in sacrifices of chickens and hens, and in one occasion, I was present when they were cleansing Jennifer with the blood of a hen.” The hen’s blood was poured over Jennifer until she was covered in it, Noa said. Then she was bathed in “holy water” to wash away the blood, and herbs were passed over her body. “Meanwhile, the godmother was asking the gods to cleanse Jennifer and save our marriage.”

We're still waiting for anything to back this claim, but he's only sent us his head shots.

Props to undercover film makers!

An Australia has moved to halt the supply of live cattle to three Indonesian abattoirs after a documentary Monday revealed evidence of cruelty against animals shipped there for slaughter.

The documentary, A Bloody Business, has footage of cattle suffering, including having their eyes gouged, tails broken and throats hacked in four slaughterhouses in Indonesia.

After viewing the footage, the Australian livestock export industry body LiveCorp said it had asked the Indonesian industry to stop supplying Australian cattle to three of these facilities.

Viewers of the documentary described the scenes as horrific, disgusting, shocking and unbearable to watch.

This is CRAZY!

Former KISS guitarist Vincent Cusano (or Vinnie Vincent) allegedly smacked his wife in the face and dragged her through a pile of broken glass on the night he was arrested … and when cops arrived to the house, they found 4 dead dogs at the scene.

Cops say Vincent's wife Diane came to the Rutherford Sheriff's office covered blood and told the officers how she had just escaped from the couple's Tennessee home after Vincent "smacked her in the face" following an argument.

Diane told police she tried to get away but Vincent threw her to the ground 4 more times. She eventually escaped and drove herself to the station.

Cops dispatched officers to the home — where they found Vincent and "four sealed containers containing deceased dogs."

WHAT?????

Diane told the cops the dogs had been "killed by one of their aggressive dogs." And we totally don't buy that.

Vincent was eventually arrested and booked for aggravated domestic assault — and his bond was set at $10,000.
