Daniel Day-Lewis Joins 2013 Mille Miglia Road Race In Vintage Car!

daniel day lewis road race car vintage 1000 miles europe

If you've been wondering what Daniel Day-Lewis has been doing with his time off since living the life of Abraham Lincoln, well, you might be a bit surprised!

He's NOT vacationing somewhere tropical, he's NOT playing rounds of golf every day!

He's joining road races — specifically, the 2013 Mille Miglia road race — with a slick-ass vintage car! LOLz!

Daniel's got a a 1953 Jaguar XK 120 that he plans on driving from Brescia to Rome and back in three days! That's around 1000 miles!

We hope he's got the skill and courage to pull it off… then again, it's not like it's actually 1953. There are gas stations and auto-shops like every half mile now! Ha!

Still, we hope it's an amazing experience for him!

Ever since Lance Armstrong's doping scandal crashed down around him, he hasn't said a word.

He was stripped of all his Tour de France titles and lost millions of dollars worth of endorsements.

We don't blame him for wanting to crawl under a rock.

But if anyone could coax someone out from their hole beneath a boulder… it'd be Oprah Winfrey!

We previously mentioned that Oprah was going to get the exclusive chance to interview Lance.

Not only will the interview air on OWN, Oprah's network, it will also be live-streamed online at oprah.com on January 17th at 9pm.

But wait! There's more!

Cocaine!!

An estimated 15.5 MILLION Europeans have used coke at least once in their life! (We don't count marijuana as a drug because everyone does it and it's harmless and basically becoming legal.)

Aside from snorting up nose candy, a new trend is getting high legally.

Legal highs are drugs that are basically too new to be declared illegal.

They found some crazy stats about legal highs:

Are Yearly Doctor Visits Unnecessary??

check-up-might-not-be-the-best-for-heath.jpg

A new study from Europe has found that people who regularly had check-ups weren't actually any healthier than people who didn't.

The long-term study involved 182,880 people, so with that significant sample size, the results are pretty reliable.

The study looked mainly at deaths from heart disease or cancer, the two most commonly assessed ailments during check-ups.

After looking at the data, the researchers were unable to find any differences in hospital admissions, disability, specialist referrals, more doctors visits or time taken off work.
