We've always known Lil' Wayne to be controversial, but he has taken it a bit too far this time!

The rapper was recently featured on Future's Karate Chop remix, which was all fine and dandy until we heard the rapper spew an offensive reference to African-American hero Emmett Till.

Lil's lyrics were so degrading that Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid apologized to the 1955 Jim Crow South victim's family himself and promised to remove all traces of the song from the internet.

Epic Records said in a formal apology:
