Late Night Hosts Roast Donald Trump's 'Last Night In Sweden' Comments! Watch!

no title

Over the weekend, Donald Trump put a spotlight on Sweden during his Florida campaign rally by making comments about a terrorist attack that never happened.

Lamenting about recent attacks abroad, the president referenced an incident that occurred "last night in Sweden" — later clarifying he was referring to a Friday night Fox News report on the Nordic country's immigration issues.

And you better believe this snafu was gobbled up by late night hosts on Monday night like a bag of Swedish fish!

On Late Night's "A Closer Look", Seth Meyers showed a clip of a Swedish reporter saying people there were "making jokes," and pointed out how bad things are going under Trump that we're "getting roasted by Swedes."

Stephen Colbert took a much darker route on The Late Show, playing a in memoriam segment for Sweden as "the third not-a-terrorist attack" in the past month, following the Bowling Green Massacre and Atlanta. Sad!

He said:

"You look at what's happening in Germany. You look at what's happening last night in Sweden — Sweden — who would believe this? Sweden, they took in large numbers, they are having problems like they never thought possible. You look at what's happening Brussels, you look at what's happening all over the world."

The comment about "last night in Sweden" went viral, prompting mass confusion over what happened in the Nordic country on Friday night.

So, to set things straight, Swedish tabloid newspaper Aftonbladet published a timeline of what really went down on the night in question — and, no, the eventful evening didn't include terrorist attacks.

Aftonbladet reported some trouble did occur:

Rihanna is so not afraid of wearing something that will get people talking, like this ruffled yellow floral dress she wore in Sweden Tuesday that was obviously made of the curtains from The Sound of Music.

RIHlated: RiRi Cancels Colombia Concert Over Zika Virus

Just like Fräulein Maria and the von Trapp kids, RiRi wore this outfit with pride and didn't even think anything was wrong with having clothing made from drapes.

Two Swedish Heroes Who Caught The Stanford Rapist Tell Their Side Of The Story

no title

Thank goodness for the quick-thinking actions of these two young men.

Carl-Fredrick Arndt and Peter Jonsson are the two Swedish-born graduate students at Stanford University who infamously spotted Brock Turner as he was sexually assaulting an unconscious woman behind a dumpster at one of the school's frat parties last year and held him until police arrived.

Turner, of course, was sentenced to a ridiculously light six-month prison term after being convicted of the horrifying deed — a sentence which sent shockwaves throughout the country and anger towards the judge responsible for not handing out a harsher penalty.

But now, we're starting to hear more about Arndt (above, left) and Jonsson (above, right), and how their quick thinking and heroic actions helped at least earn the conviction in the first place — because if not for them, it's very likely Turner would have walked away from the entire incident unscathed.

The two men — whom the victim refers to as 'heroes' in her moving statement that has since gone viral — were interviewed by Swedish newspaper Expressen and gave their reaction to the entire incident on Tuesday.

Arndt said (translated from Swedish, below) that the two came upon the scene while riding their bicycles home late that night:
