New Glee star Darren Criss recently opened up about his feelings toward bands like Gorillaz and Kings of Leon, who have publicly refused to allow their music to appear on the smash series, and he claims to be bewildered as to why it would be such an issue to them!
He explains:
“I’m a musician and I understand that; I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I just don’t see why they feel the need to make it public. It seems as if [being part of the show] could be a negative thing, the connotation is that they’re somehow cooler than ‘Glee.’ I think that’s their choice, and there doesn’t need to be any kind of malice created from it. They’ve got the music, they’ve got nothing to prove. They’re great bands.”
Hmm…he makes some very valid arguments, but…
We understand he’s excited to be a part of such a popular series, but maybe it’s time to talking to the press!
You’re speaking out more than the full-time cast members, bb! Don’t over-do it!
