There was a time, a time that seems not that long ago, that the name Michelle Williams wasn’t assocaited with Oscar nominated movies or risky Hollywood projects. For awhile, Michelle was only known as Jen Lindley, the blondie bad girl down the creek from Dawson Leery.
Yes, though we bet she wishes so, no one can forget Michelle’s humble beginnings on The WB show, Dawson’s Creek and now that she is an award-winning actress, many wonder what she thinks about those days.
In a recent interview about her Golden Globe nomination and new flick Blue Valentine, Michelle opened up about the experience, which she has an interesting take on. She told sources:
“I said to a friend [that] being on ‘Dawson’s Creek’ was kind of like being a mobster. You set up a shop selling pizza but in the back you’re laundering money. You’re doing one thing in plain sight and secretly plotting something else. I was plotting my tastes, my interests, my beliefs and hopes for what I could be.”
We think she just might have reached those hopes and dreams – and thankfully, Jen Lindley got killed off, so she’ll never have to endure a wretched reunion special.
We kid, we kid – we don’t think any of them are willing to do a wretched reunion special. Could you imagine if they did though? Michelle in the same room as Katie Holmes for the first time in like, what, a decade?! That be interesting!
