It’s this generation’s Sophie’s choice:
Harry Potter or Twilight? Wizard or Vampire? Daniel Radcliffe or Robert Pattinson?
Personally, we’re not picking sides as we love each franchise equally, though perhaps not as passionately as others who might swear their allegiance either way. But whether you are a fan of one, both or neither, there is no denying that these franchise have some of the craziest fans in the world and the fame its garnered these actors will follow them the rest of their lives.
But whose got it worse? Does the boy wizard turn Broadway buff have to deal with more fangirls than Edward Cullen? Or does shimmery skin of R-Patz pale in comparison to the shiny of DanRad in the media. If you ask the latter, he’ll tell you exactly who has it worse in this business. Daniel insists:
“You know, I think he’s had to deal with a lot more. I had a very gradual easing in to the idea of fame…While the whole Potter film franchise was exploding, I was in studios filming and kind of unaware that this thing was going massive outside. Rob, suddenly at the age of however old he was. Suddenly he was the most famous guy in the world. I think that’s a lot harder to deal with.”
Good point, Potter Dan. Then again, his fans might have an easier time separating him from his Edward Cullen character since they didn’t grow up with him in the role. You, on the other hand, have been Harry Potter for nearly 11 years. That’s a hard thing to outgrow.
