Average citizens weren’t the only ones affected by Hurricane Sandy, even the Hollywood elite had to suffer (kinda). Of course, none of them really experienced the loss directly like countless families on the east coast… but at least they found things to do to bide their time.
For Russell Crowe, it was drinking tea.
Really.
Here’s what he tweeted:

“Found Yorkshire tea at Myers of Keswick on Hudson Street, NY. Teapot and 1953 coronation cup. Aah Tea, it’s the ritual perfect for Hurricanes.”

He also agreed that making the herbal mixture out of an urn wasn’t proper (whatever that means, but we agree), and said:

“Absolutely. Nor does buying tea in a caf├â┬⌐ suffice. It’s the ritual. The making of├óΓé¼┬ªthe brewing, from kettle to pot to cup.”

His costar Emma Watson chimed in later, but not about tea — her musings were much more relevant:

“I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production of Noah is not lost @DarrenAronofsky @russellcrowe.”

Ha!
Well, we’re glad they’re safe and they all found ways to keep occupied, regardless if they were in ways waaaay different than 99% of the rest of the storm fighters!
