It’s only been a few weeks since we mentioned that the gay penguin couple in Canada were going to be separated for mating season.
Well there’s a pair of gay penguins in China and their keepers are handling the situation much differently.
They’ve given the pair a baby to care for!
There’s a penguin mother who had twins and was struggling to care for them so they’re giving the penguins one of the recently hatched babies.
Male penguins make great daddies, normally helping to raise chicks as much as the mother, and this pair has in past mating seasons tried to steal eggs.
They really wanted to be daddies.
They’re similar to a couple in New York’s Central Park Zoo where another gay penguin couple was given a rejected egg to care for after they tried to hatch a rock!
Canada should take a page out of China’s book once their gay penguins are reunited after mating season.
Let them be gay! They were born that way!
