Time to call it: Calvin Harris has officially won at DJing.
According to Forbes, Calvin topped the list of the world’s highest paid DJs, earning an astounding $46 million in the past year.
That scratch is very well deserved, since Calvin scratches at over 100 shows a year. Uh, can’t you get Carpal Tunnel from so much spinning? Maybe even a bulging disc? We don’t think so, seeing how Calvin shows no signs of stopping!
Here’s what Calvin had to say about his chart-topping accomplishment:
“The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years. I happened to be in the right place at the right time.”
Calvin truly is in the right place at the right time. Places like Vegas and Ibiza are paying out 6-figure nightly fees for performances from the world’s top DJs.
Calvin is also in good company. Coming in at number 2 and 3 on the list respectively were Tiësto and David Guetta, who both raked in around $30 million last year.
We wish all these spin masters a hearty “congratulations!” But imagine that we said it in a robotic voice to a crazy beat!
