We feel your pain, Charlie Puth.
The See You Again singer was performing at a Saturday night concert in New York when he addressed Christina Grimmie‘s tragic death and paid respects to his friend over the tragedy.

Puth talked to the audience during a lull in his show, making things take a serious tone when he said:
“I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight. I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that.”
He sounds so heartbroken over it (below):

Puth then went into a rendition of See You Again, performing it for Christina in what turned out to be a very emotional moment for his audience, too.
