Cuba Gooding, Jr. is getting a ton of flack for lifting Sarah Paulson‘s dress during an American Horror Story: Roanoke panel during PaleyFest in LA Sunday.

The actor obviously meant it as some sort of joke, but viewers were completely taken aback and appalled at his behavior, considering it came out of nowhere and didn’t seem to have any sort of point, except maybe that men feel entitled to do whatever they want to women.
He even seemed to attempt to look under her skirt!

Sarah reportedly shrieked when Cuba lifted her skirt, but then appeared to laugh it off.
We’re sure they’re close friends and all, but it just seems like an inappropriate thing to do in public. Or anywhere, really.
