This is heartbreaking!
After tearing his Achilles’ tendon, David Beckham will not be participating in the World Cup this year, but he is determined to make a full recovery.
His doctor in Finland said that there is no hope for the soccer stud to play the World Cup this year:
“Healing takes a long time. Beckham’s Achilles’ tendon was torn completely off, and we had to put together the two parts. He will probably be discharged on Wednesday. The operation was successful. Everything is fine.”
Wife Victoria Beckham rushed to Finland to be by her husband’s side as he recuperates, but had to leave their three sons behind since they’re in school. An insider explains:
“The entire family is absolutely broken by this. There were a lot of tears all of yesterday and the kids in particular took the news incredibly badly. They were desperate to cheer their dad on in South Africa. Victoria is absolutely heartbroken for David, and did her best to console him all yesterday.
“Their phone was also ringing with messages of support, from players, friends and family. He didn’t ask or expect her to fly out but there was no way she wasn’t going to go. The children were desperate to come out too but they weren’t allowed out of school. Instead, the family will spend Easter together, and will do their utmost to cheer David up.”
The family is expected to reunite in Milan for Easter as David recovers.
Get well soon, Becks!
