It’s confirmed!
Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe received great reviews during his eight week performance in Equus last year in London.
Now, Radcliffe is crossing the pond and into bigger territory. Broadway!
Radcliffe is set to make his Broadway debut performing in Equus later this year.
This will be the play’s first revival on Broadway since it debuted in 1974 and continued for three years. In 1975, it won the Tony Award for best play. This time around, the show will have a strictly limited 22 week run.

When asked his thoughts about performing on Broadway, Radcliffe responded, “It will be amazing, but I will be terrified because I was talking to Richard Griffiths about playing New York and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences. I would be very nervous because I think (the audiences are) even more discerning than in London.”
Equus will begin previews on September 5, 2008 at the Broadhurst Theatre.
Good Luck Harry!
