Aaron Carter is officially firearm free!
The embattled singer had a chat with TMZ this week, where he revealed he sold all his firearms after getting hit with restraining orders from brother Nick Carter and sister Angel Carter.
Speaking to the outlet outside of a Vons grocery store in Lancaster, CA, the 31-year-old claimed he sold off the rest of his firearms — which included at least two assault rifles, a pistol, and a shotgun — and he had the paperwork to prove it!
The firearm sale comes a week after the I Want Candy performer revealed he surrendered two of his rifles to authorities in an attempt to show “good faith” amid his disconcerting feud with his family members.

As we reported, AC told his fans on Twitter:
“So today I decided to voluntarily allow the sheriffs department to hold on to two of my rifles. I’m doing this to show my good faith and cooperation with law enforcement. @DOJPH #GunSafety #GunControl”
Soon after making the announcement, AC told TMZ he was going to get rid of the rest of his firearms (some of which he bought earlier this month) for good. It looks like he followed through — but when TMZ asked whether or not he was hoping to get back his surrendered firearms, he said:
“That’s no one’s business.”
Um… okay then.
Aaron went on to reveal he’s also been working with a team of doctors to kick his Xanax addiction, claiming he’s already been off the drug for five days. (Congrats!)
But the former child star made it clear he’s only getting treatment because he wants to — NOT because his family members have publicly stated they hope he gets the help he needs. As Nick explained when announcing he was seeking protection against his little bro:
“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”
Aaron also had a few issues with the restraining order Nick and Angel were granted, questioning why his Backstreet Boys brother waited so long to seek protection after Aaron allegedly threatened to kill the 39-year-old’s pregnant wife and unborn child.
This situation still sounds incredibly messy, but at least Aaron seems to be getting help.
