Aaron Carter is willing to meet the Sheriff’s Department halfway!
The I Want Candy singer took to social media on Wednesday to reveal he’s surrendered two of his rifles to authorities in an attempt to show “good faith” amid his very disconcerting feud with brother Nick Carter.
The 31-year-old told fans on Twitter:
“So today I decided to voluntarily allow the sheriffs department to hold on to two of my rifles. I’m doing this to show my good faith and cooperation with law enforcement. @DOJPH #GunSafety #GunControl”

The singer’s hashtags are similar to those from Nick’s previous statement about seeking a restraining order against Aaron with his sister Angel Carter. As we reported, the Backstreet Boys member and Angel sought the order over an alleged remark their little brother made about wanting to kill “babies” and Nick’s pregnant wife, Lauren Kitt.

Nick wrote in a statement on Tuesday:
“After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today. In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else. #mentalhealth #GunControlNow #GunControl.”
In response, Aaron wrote on Twitter he was cutting Nick out of his life. He tweeted:
“So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol. Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life. I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend.”
The former child star went on to rant about how his older brother “bullied” and “tortured” him when he was younger, tweeting:
“I haven’t even seen you guys and nick you bullied me my whole life. And tortured me as a child. And everyone knows it. ITS BEEN PUBLIC. and now you’re scared of the truth.”
Aaron then claimed his brother filed the order to “retaliate” against him and “portray” him as “crazy” because the star publicly sided with Melissa Schuman, the Dream member who accused the BSB star of sexual assault in November 2017.

He wrote:
“I know you’re mad I spoke to @MelissaSchuman so to retaliate you call the police to take away my legal guns and you file a restraining order #pathetic #Coverup. How come my brother didn’t file a restraining orders against a girl who filed a police report against him for rape? #COVERUP #METOOMOVEMENT.”
The singer went on to dismiss the alleged “killing babies” remark, tweeting:
“I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family.”
In the legal docs for the restraining order request, Nick claimed he needed court-ordered protection from Aaron because he’s afraid the embattled star will listen to the “voices in his head and cause harm to [his] family.” The 39-year-old also alleged his little bro owns six firearms, which he’s known to keep “readily available.”
It’s nice Aaron is trying to cooperate by giving cops two of his guns. But he could still very well have FOUR guns in his home, which is still quite troubling, given his apparent mental state.
