UPDATE 08/09/19 8:35 A.M. PST: Aaron Carter is “fine” following a police welfare check, according to one Us Weekly source.
The insider explained:
“He is not suicidal. He was basically swatted — this was a false alarm. He has been working a lot and busy.”
The news came just days after the singer split with girlfriend Lina Valentina. Supposedly all is well for Carter in the days since their breakup, per the confidant:
“He initiated it, and she was upset about it. He bought a house and they were planning for the future, but he realized it wasn’t a healthy relationship and ended it.”
We’re hoping the best for him and his ex.
Aaron Carter received an unexpected visit from cops after a family member feared he was suicidal.
According to TMZ, on Wednesday, authorities performed a welfare check at the Aaron’s Party singer’s Lancaster, California home. However, when they arrived, the musician was not there.

Ultimately, the 31-year-old met with officials, who determined everything was okay.
Per law enforcement sources, someone in Carter’s family called and said she was concerned about statements Aaron made last week.
The unidentified caller feared the artist was going to take his own life, or hurt someone else. The mystery person also suspected he was doing drugs, and was going to overdose.
Although it is unclear which statements troubled the family member, as we reported earlier this week, the performer split from girlfriend Lina Valentina.
Per sources, Aaron believes his ex played a role in cops coming to his house. Reportedly, Valentina stayed with Carter past their breakup… until he kicked her out on Wednesday.
She reportedly “flew into a rage.”
According to his attorney, Nick Carter‘s brother wants a drama-free breakup, but will take legal action if she continues her (alleged) antics.
Aaron announced their split by releasing the following statement:
“Lina and I have decided to go our separate ways. I was really hoping this would be the one that lasted forever. We had even talked about having kids, but we couldn’t seem to get past our differences and the relationship eventually turned unhealthy. I’ve been through so much the past few years and am trying to learn from my mistakes.”
He continued:
“I don’t have any regrets being with Lina, and I definitely learned a lot about myself. I think this decision was the mature thing to do. I’m going to keep focusing on my music, my tour and my fans. Hopefully my soulmate is out there somewhere and I’ll meet her soon.”
In November 2018, E! News wrote Carter was expecting his first child with Valentina. Additionally, he teased on social media:
“I’m in such an amazing place mentally, physically & emotionally. I finally bought my first home and I’m going to be proposing soon to my gf and we might just be expecting…”
HOWEVER, the next month, the singer retracted the baby news, stating:
“A few weeks ago, I posted something on social media about hoping to have a child soon and it seems that started some rumors. I am looking forward to becoming a dad, but am not expecting a child right now.”
YIKES!
