An actor has been arrested after violently attacking his estranged makeup artist girlfriend.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, actor Nick Pasqual was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent. If convicted, he’s looking at life in prison.

Nick allegedly broke into Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn‘s Los Angeles home at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23 — even though she “had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual.” He then allegedly “inflicted great bodily injury upon the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence” and “personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.” Jeez.

After the bloody attack, the actor — whose credits include Rebel Moon (where he reportedly met Allie), Poor Paul, and National Day Riff — tried to flee the country! He fled the scene and was detained at the US/Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. He will be transported to Los Angeles County to face his charges. The L.A. Police Department is currently still investigating the case. District Attorney George Gascón said in the release:

“My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident. Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her.”

He continued:

“This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”

Allie is currently fighting for her life in the hospital after being stabbed more than 20 times, according to friends who spoke to KTLA. She was discovered bleeding out in her bedroom by Christine White, who told the outlet that she was like a surrogate mother to the makeup artist. She explained:

“This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody. You don’t think this is ever going to happen to you.”

Christine was staying with Allie when the stabbing took place. She noted:

“I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn’t a pretty sight.”

The makeup artist, who has worked on 2022’s Babylon and 2024’s Mean Girls, was left with injuries to her arms, neck, and abdomen. According to a GoFundMe set up for her, she has already undergone multiple surgeries and is beginning to make positive progress. However, she has a very long road to recovery ahead. After several days, she was released from the ICU earlier this week.

In the latest update by her friend and an organizer of the fundraiser, Jed Dornoff, Shehorn was seen walking with the help of two nurses. She could be seen in a hospital gown leaning on a walker for support. Both of her hands were so injured in the attack that they are bandaged up and she cannot use them. Acknowledging how far she’s come, Jed wrote:

“Allie Shehorn is making positive steps to her recovery. . It’s still a very long road but she is facing it with courage and determination.”
