Finally, some good news amidst all the coronavirus craziness!
Hilaria Baldwin announced she’s expecting her fifth child with a sweet Instagram post on Monday. She encouraged followers to turn the “sound up” so they could hear the baby’s heartbeat in the video. Baldwin captioned the post:
“I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel ?. Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you? Here we go again ?”
Husband Alec Baldwin re-posted the video to his own Instagram page, with the caption, “My, oh my…”
The news is all the sweeter after the couple suffered multiple miscarriages last year. Despite the hardship, the Baldwins have remained resolute in giving their kids Carmen Gabriela, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David — as well as Alec’s daughter Ireland from his marriage to Kim Basinger — another little brother or sister. Speaking to reporters in November, the 30 Rock actor said:
“If you have kids, and if you’re like us, sometimes you feel like you can’t stop having kids. Every time we have them, we’re like, ‘This is great. Let’s have more!'”
The Mom Brain host has been open about the aftermath of her miscarriages in the hopes of removing the stigma from the experience. In January, she spoke to Glamour about the subject, saying:
“We are a group that has been taught to be closed, and I have decided that I don’t want to be. In opening up, not only do I want to heal myself through sharing my story, but I also want to show others that there is another path — one of openness. When you let reality in, it can be difficult to swallow, but once you do, you have something tangible to work with. Even when it is so painful and you feel like you have hit the bottom of the ocean, you can touch it, feel it and then press off it to propel you back up into more shallow waters.”
While they wait for Baby No. 5, the Baldwin family is enjoying quality time together in quarantine. Hilaria has posted some adorable family snaps to IG, including a sweet video of the Emmy Award winner and his babies. “This is like a dream come true,” he can be heard saying in the clip.
