Amber Portwood & Andrew Glennon Still 'Hope' To Reconcile Amid Money & Machete Drama!

Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon aren’t letting a little machete incident stand in the way of their potential future together.

As fans know, the past few months have been troubling for the couple, who have been estranged following the Teen Mom star’s arrest and reports of her baby daddy cheating on her.

But despite all that drama, they aren’t calling it quits just yet!

According to an E! News source, Amber and Andrew are still “holding out a small bit of hope” for a reconciliation. Wow!

The new claim echoes what Glennon had said a few weeks ago while opening up about their situation to DailyMail.com. 

As we reported, the 35-year-old cinematographer said he was open to the idea of getting back together with Portwood — who allegedly attacked him with a machete while he was holding their 1-year-old son, James — but noted “a lot of healing” needed to be done first. He explained:

“There’s gonna be a lot of healing that needs to be done and repairing between James and I. As far as relationships go in the future … a lot of healing has to be done for everybody.”  

Following the MTV star’s domestic violence arrest, Andrew requested an emergency custody hearing in which he demanded sole custody of their son and child support from Amber. A judge agreed to lift the 29-year-old’s no contact order with her son in July; however, the no-contact order with Glennon is still in place.

While a no-contact order seems like the ultimate breakup, a source insisted to the outlet the pair have still yet to officially split — because they technically can’t have a conversation with each other (re: no-contact order).  

LOLz, that’s one way to keep love a relationship alive…

On top of all that, the couple is now dealing with some heavy financial drama. A source recently told Us Weekly “tens of thousands of dollars” are missing from Amber and Andrew’s joint bank account, and the aftermath has turned into “an ugly he said-she said battle.”

The source claimed: 

“Amber and Andrew became aware of their joint bank account being manipulated [with unauthorized charges] … and agreed the best thing to do was to suspend that account and transfer the funds. She insisted on removing all the money from their joint account and buying a safe … [Glennon] could not keep up with Amber’s unnecessary life expenses. Andrew just recently paid for both of Amber’s car notes, her phone bill, the electrical bill, gas, cable bill, roof repairs, her furniture financing, [their son] James’ recent vaccinations, as well as all of his food and necessities. Every check Andrew would bring in would be quickly spent on the upkeep of the house.”

Yeesh. This breakup is getting messier and messier by the day…

But regardless of the growing number of “obstacles they’re facing,” the E! News insider said a reconciliation between the two isn’t totally impossible. The source dished:

“Still, both are holding out a small bit of hope that they can reconcile and put this in the past.” 

If Amber and Andrew can bounce back from this wreckage, anything’s possible!
