Amber Portwood‘s boyfriend is doubling down on his request for sole custody of their 14-month-old son following her arrest.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Andrew Glennon is not only seeking full custody of their infant son, James, but also wants Portwood to pay for child support.
The concerned father is also requesting there be NO unsupervised parental visits for Amber. Reasonable request?

As we reported, the MTV personality was arrested on July 5, after allegedly going after Andrew with a machete — while he was holding the baby. Amber was charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old.
Thanks to that laundry list of charges, Glennon believes his ex cannot provide a “safe, stable and secure” environment for their kid.
Per the docs, it’s due to Amber’s “frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns.”
In the legal petition, Andrew says he voluntarily spoke to the Department of Child Services on July 8 as part of their investigation after Portwood’s arrest. Amber’s domestic violence charges stemming from her fight with her first baby daddy, Gary Shirley — with whom she shares 10-year-old daughter Leah — was also mentioned in the report.
Glennon also filed a petition for paternity (which he passed, praise Maury!) and called for an “emergency hearing regarding custody of their child” on July 9.
And as we mentioned at the top, Glennon is also requesting child support payments from his ex.
This really doesn’t sound like a good situation for Amber.
Potentially losing parental rights to your son as a result of an argument gone wrong AND having to shell out cash to support him, his father, and their new life without you is one thing.
It’s another to be potentially facing real jail time — again.
All three charges against the reality TV starlet are Level 6 felonies, which carry sentences of six months to 2.5 years per charge. That means Amber could go to prison for more than SEVEN YEARS!
An insider recently told Us Weekly Glennon “doesn’t want her to go to jail.” The source said:
“The charges against Amber are big but it’s likely they’ll get pled down… Amber and Andrew are still not allowed to communicate. Not until the next court date. But the situation seems to have calmed down a bit.”
Ultimately, it’ll be up to a judge to decide how this plays out when the mother-of-two returns to court later this month.
The court documents also revealed more details about the night of the big altercation between the feuding parents.
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by the publication, Andrew told police they got into an argument over trying to see fireworks on the Fourth of July as a family. He says they ultimately never made it to their location to see the show because of traffic, and that he felt Amber blamed him for “dropping the ball” on the entire evening.
He claims he dropped Portwood off at home and drove around with the baby for a little bit to give his baby momma time to “cool off.” Glennon later told police when he eventually returned home, Portwood “grabbed a shoe off the shoe rack” and hit him with it.
Glennon claims he left the house again with the baby and drove around for three hours before returning with “a gift” and some food.
But when he returned, he allegedly went upstairs and Portwood “was coming at him like she was going to hit him.” He told police that Portwood “then threatened to kill herself” and that she “went to her drawer and took a handful of Klonopin and tossed it back like it was nothing.”
Whoa. So, so scary!
Glennon goes on to detail how Amber “picked up a machete towards him and [the baby]”. In an act of self-defense, Andrew locked himself and James in their home office and finally called for help.
