Anna Nicole Smith's Ex-Boyfriend Mark Hatten Killed In Shooting

An ex-boyfriend of the late Anna Nicole Smith has been fatally shot.

According to TMZ, Mark Hatten was killed in Greelyville South Carolina on Sunday afternoon after an incident with another man turned deadly. It’s currently unclear what led up to the shooting.

The day before, Hatten was said to have been in an altercation with someone that was broken up by police. He was reportedly arrested and spent the night in jail on a no trespass charge.

Hatten had been a family friend of Anna Nicole’s for a long time before they dated in 2000. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t end well: Mark went to prison for threatening the famous Playmate and assaulting her neighbor.

According to the late supermodel’s testimony in 2002, she began dating Hatten in early 2000 and had a sexual relationship with him until June 2000, when he allegedly confronted her with a knife in the bedroom of her home.

She dumped him, but claimed that he continued to stalk and threaten her for almost two years afterward. Hatten showed up at Anna Nicole’s home in March 2002 and assaulted her neighbor when the man asked him to leave.

Hatten was eventually found guilty of making criminal threats against Smith and attacking her neighbor. He was sentenced to nearly 7 years in prison.
