Befriending your exes seems to be a new trend in Hollywood!
If Courteney Cox and David Arquette can do it, why can’t anyone else? Ha!
It’s been years, if not decades, since Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Cabrera have dated, but the past is behind these two!
Ashlee has since moved on to fianc├â┬⌐ Evan Ross and the adorable couple was seen at Ryan’s 32nd birthday party this past weekend!
Bygones are bygones between Ash and Ryan because the 29-year-old and her current flame weren’t afraid to pack on the PDA at the birthday bash!
A witness at the party said the two were:
“They were both super cute with one another, very affectionate and very touchy feely. At one point Ashlee even had Evan sitting on her lap as they conversed with their friends.”
It’s a good thing the two exes are on good terms or else it could’ve gotten awkward! But then again, if they weren’t, Ashlee wouldn’t be at Ryan’s party in the first place!

Later on in the night, the Pieces of Me singer was seen trying to get Ryan to play Evan his new music.
Looks like it all worked out because a source is saying Evan and Ross are talking about collaborating!
They said Ashlee was seen:
“…urging Ryan to play his new record for Evan so he could listen to it and maybe give him some insight on some lyrics that Ryan was struggling with. Evan and Ryan talked about collaborating and getting in the studio together. Both of them sounded super stoked on the idea and will be making it happen sooner than later.”
How sweet is that?!
