We love all the support!
Caitlyn Jenner has not only revealed her Vanity Fair cover Monday, but she’s opened up a bit about her transformation!
And now she’s revealed the Jenner kids’ stance on the upcoming docuseries!

Even though the Jenners love Caitlyn and are quite supportive of her, Caitlyn reveals that they have refused to be a part of E!‘s eight-episode series. Caitlyn says that though their decision is “terribly disappoint[ing] and [she’s] terribly hurt,” she understands and accepts their choice.
It helps knowing that Caitlyn’s transition was a non-factor; in fact, they were already aware of their father’s identity as a woman well before the sit-down with them!
Burt Jenner and Cassandra Jenner learned of the identity from their mother more than 20 years ago while Brody was only told a couple years ago. And Brandon apparently had figured it out because of the physical changes he noticed.
Regardless of when or how they found out, all the Jenner kids love and support Caitlyn and say they still “see their dad as their dad regardless of any gender label.”

Caitlyn knows though that there will be critics of her gender label and transformation and she’s ready for it! She states how ridiculous it is for some people to think:

“‘Oh, she’s doing a stupid reality show. She’s doing it for the money. She’s doing this, she’s doing that.'”

She goes on to justify her decision by explaining:

“I’m not doing it for money. I’m doing it to help my soul and help other people. If I can make a dollar, I certainly am not stupid. [I have] house payments and all that kind of stuff. I will never make an excuse for something like that. Yeah, this is a business. You don’t go out and change your gender for a television show. O.K., it ain’t happening. I don’t care who you are.”

Well we don’t know if there’s a better reason or motivation than happiness — especially helping others find theirs! We fully support you Caitlyn, and can’t wait to see the show!
