Look out BBC! Calvin Harris is coming for you!
The DJ recently sat down for an interview with BBC, but they did an edting number on his interview. Harris was taken so out of context that he’s even considered suing them!
So what did they chop up that was so bad?
The BBC made it seem like Harris fake DJs his live shows!
The Newsbeat story read ├óΓé¼┼ôDo superstar DJs just press ‘go’ on their live shows?” and then quoted him as saying:
“I think it’s not a problem. In the club, you want to hear a produced piece of music, you want to hear the bass, you want to hear it as good as it can sound├óΓé¼┬ª I used to perform with a band putting all sorts of work into a live show, and I can tell you that the reaction was worse than it is when I’m DJing.”
Hmm… That doesn├óΓé¼Γäót sound good at all!
So Harris hit back via Twitter rant. The DJ tweeted:
├óΓé¼┼ôFind the audio where i say “it’s ok to prerecord a DJ set” it doesn’t f*cking exist, and i don’t know ANY DJ that actually does that├óΓé¼┬¥
“F*cking raging with this Newsbeat guy. I remember the interview and his stupid f*cking question is it ok for DJs to play records”
├óΓé¼┼ôThen he’ll change his question in the edit to is it ok to PRERECORD a DJ set and use my answer to a DIFFERENT QUESTION?!├óΓé¼┬¥
“Changing my answer and questioning my integrity to suit your sh*t report @BBCNewsbeat”
“I remember this guy from @BBCNewsbeat who did the interview, he actually apologised beforehand for not being prepared + knew nothing”
├óΓé¼┼ôThen he’ll make ME look bad because HE’S shite, and play it on the biggest national radio station in the UK?! Right ok @BBCNewsbeat├óΓé¼┬¥

No, but srsly, if he was taken out of context, that is so horrible. And pretty illegal since it involves his actual performance and reputation. Calvin finished the rant by tweeting:

The BBC still hasn’t said anything about the report, but it seems like they should take action soon, before the DJ strikes first!
