Cardi B & Lizzo Light Up The 2019 BET Awards With Lap Dances & Flutes -- Watch!

Cardi B and Lizzo perform at BET Awards

Cardi B and Lizzo were 100% those b*tches at the 2019 BET Awards!
Both artists stole the show on Sunday night as they brought the house down, built it up, and brought it back down again with sexy, high energy performances.
Cardi set the bar with a powerful opening number, which saw her giving husband Offset a lap dance as she performed multiple hit tracks.
After the Migos rapper warmed up the crowd with his Clout verse, the 26-year-old emerged in a sparkly green ensemble as she twerked on top of her hubby, before segueing into a tightly choreographed performance of Press with an army of backup dancers.

It would have been the most iconic act of the night… had Lizzo not gone and stole the show later on with her performance of Truth Hurts.
The songstress and her team of dancers appeared wearing wedding dresses and performed atop a giant wedding cake. The icing on the cake, though, was the epic flute solo Lizzo busted out halfway through the performance.

The BET Awards audience went wild over the 31-year-old’s performance — including Rihanna, who was seen jamming out in the crowd at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles as Lizzo busted moves on stage.
The Cuz I Luv You artist rightfully took RiRi’s approval has a BET Award in itself, tweeting and re-tweeting the following:

Blame it on the flute, ya-ya-ee.

The performance comes on the heels of a rough week for Liz.
As we reported, the artist took to social media last week to open up about feeling “sad af,” telling her followers in a candid Instagram post:

“I self-love so hard because everything feels like rejection… it feel like the whole world be ghostin me sometimes. Sad af today. But this too shall pass. S/O all the messages of love.”

The confession led to an outpouring of love and support from fans, which helped Lizzo bounce back from her blues with a new perspective on joy and sadness. She wrote on social media the following day:

“I learned in the last 24hrs that being emotionally honest can save your life. Reaching out may be hard but as soon as I did it, I was immediately covered in love… I used to think of sadness as a constant with fleeting moments of joy in between… but it’s a wave joy sadness joy sadness and my sadness can be as temporary as my joy. I went on live to have a discussion about triggers. My triggers are: rejection and inadequacy. But I love that I’m more emotionally honest lately. I love that I can use my sadness constructively in real time for gratitude.”

Cardi’s performance came after a troubling week, too, as she was recently indicted on 14 charges by a grand jury over that alleged strip club brawl.
Fortunately, feelings of overwhelming sadness and felony charges aren’t enough to keep these two artists from shining on stage!
