Carrie Fisher was such an integral and special part of the Star Wars franchise.
According to TMZ, Carrie “absolutely wrapped” her scenes for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII movie prior to her tragic death on Tuesday. The confirmation comes from a rep of Lucasfilm, so you know the info is solid.

Unfortunately, the rep had no idea how Fisher’s passing will affect future films. We imagine this will be a difficult task for the series going forward.
To our knowledge, this is the last film Carrie starred in prior to her death.
