Zimbabwe Finally Charges Those Involved In Cecil The Lion's Death!

no title
Before we get your hopes up, no, it’s not the dentist. But at least someone is paying for the vicious slaying!
Cecil the Lion has led to one of the most controversial stories of the year when he was shot and killed by Dr. Walter Palmer in Zimbabwe last month, but it seems like he’s finally getting some justice.
That’s because Zimbabwean prosecutors charged Honest Ndlovu, the man who owned the land where Cecil was killed, for allowing an illegal hunt on his land on Tuesday.

Honest’s role in Cecil’s death could get him either a year in jail or a $400 fine, while Theo Bronkhorst, another hunter who aided Dr. Palmer in the tracking, has also been charged for failing to stop the illegal hunt.
And while it looks like Dr. Palmer will never face any legal ramifications for his part in the murder, hopefully his reputation will negatively affect his role in his recently reopened dentistry practice.
If anything, at least Cecil’s death has led to tougher hunting regulations for lions, elephants, and leopards in the area.
Rest in peace, Cecil.
