CNN Host Chris Cuomo Has Post-Coronavirus Existential Crisis: 'I Don't Like What I Do Professionally'

Chris Cuomo had an existential crisis over his TV gig as he recovered from the coronavirus!

Sounds like Chris Cuomo is fed up with what he does for a living!

The CNN anchor may be getting over the coronavirus right now, but it’s clear he’s not over some other things in his life. And taking stock of his career and impact on the world, it sounds like the 49-year-old TV host and news anchor is DONE with his time on camera!

Speaking about his existential mini-crisis during his latest SiriusXM satellite radio show, the longtime on-air personality opened up about having really looked at what he values in life… and not liking what he saw. The host said:

“I don’t want to spend my time doing things that I don’t think are valuable enough to me personally. I don’t value indulging irrationality, hyper-partisanship. I don’t like what I do professionally. I don’t think it’s worth my time.”

Wow! Cuomo’s CNN primetime gig is obviously very high-paying, and very influential in the worlds of TV and news, so for him to say that… you know something must be up.

From there, the New Yorker launched into a bizarre story about a “loser biker” who confronted him and his family on Easter Sunday. Clearly frustrated by the exchange, Cuomo slammed the biker on air, saying:

“I don’t want some jacka**, loser, fat tire biker being able to pull over and get in my space and talk bull s**t to me, I don’t want to hear it. That matters to me more than making millions of dollars a year … because I’ve saved my money and I don’t need it anymore. I want to be able to tell you to go to hell, to shut your mouth. I don’t get that doing what I do for a living. Me being able to tell you to shut your mouth or I will do you the way you guys do each other … But here I am in an almost powerless position against this a** because I’m a celebrity and he’s allowed to say whatever he wants to me, and I have to take it or he’s gonna call the New York Post and lie about something and then I’m going to have to deal with it.”

Jeez!! We’re not even sure what to say about that. He clearly sounds SUPER frustrated…

More to the point of his original statement, it sounds like Cuomo’s career motivations have seriously fallen by the wayside. Here, you can see how burned out he is by the political bull s**t that has brought the United States to the brink:

“I don’t want to spend my time trafficking in things that I think are ridiculous. [Like] talking to Democrats about things that I don’t really believe they mean, and talking to Republicans about them parroting things they feel they have to say. [And the President], who we all know is full of s**t by design.”

And here, you can see he really opens up about the supposed “value” he brings to on-camera work, and how that equation just doesn’t seem to be working for him any longer:

“I don’t think it’s worth it to me because I don’t think I mean enough, I don’t think I matter enough, I don’t think I can really change anything, so then what am I really doing? I’m basically being perceived as successful in a system that I don’t value. I’m seen as being good at being on TV and advocating for different positions, but I don’t know if I value those things, certainly not as much as I value being able to live my life on my own terms … I have to tolerate people’s opinion about me because I’m a public figure. I don’t want to do that, I don’t think it’s worth it to me.”

DAMN!!! Cuomo isn’t one to hid how he feels on air, so it’s doubly interesting to hear him going through his behind the scenes; clearly, things have gotten so severe that he must’ve felt no other option but to share. And that biker story…
