We’re already expecting Lifetime’s House of Versace to be delightfully dramatic, but Donatella Versace just added fuel to the fabulous fire!
When asked to comment on the film, the house of Versace didn’t beat around the bush when it came to their thoughts about Gina Gershon‘s portrayal of the blonde designer.
A rep said:
“Versace has neither authorized nor had any involvement whatsoever in the forthcoming TV movie about Mrs. Versace. Since Versace did not authorize the book on which it is based, the movie should only be seen as a work of fiction.”
So basically, we should pay even MORE attention, right?! LOLz!
We know Donatella doesn’t mind being parodied because she totes loved the SNL skit Maya Rudolph did on her, so we’re a little surprised by the comment.
Then again SNL was a lot more lighthearted than drugs and murder, so maybe that’s why.
