Man, the floodgates are open now!
We’ve heard stories about Ellen DeGeneres being mean behind the scenes for years, but nothing anyone ever wanted to go public with. Probably because no one would believe them!
However, an unforeseen side effect of the global pandemic has been a lot of people no longer giving any f**ks — and in Ellen’s case that meant a whole Twitter thread of folks sharing stories, for charity if you can believe it. That was followed by popular trans YouTuber NikkieTutorials opening up about being treated in a much more “cold” manner than she was expecting given the daytime queen’s public persona.

And of course there was the matter of her longtime employees not being taken care of during the quarantine, even while Ellen was raising money for charity.
Well, now another one-time employee has come forward with his own story about the real Ellen.
Tom Majercak was the senior manager of operations at Security Imagery Specialists when he got the gig to protect Ellen, Ellen’s mom, and Portia de Rossi for the night the 2014 Oscars. That meant all the way from red carpet to after parties. That means he spent a whole evening with Ellen — and it was far less pleasant than he expected! He told Fox News on Friday:
“I’m holding their hands and walking them through individuals and large groups of people. Ellen is the one person that I’ve been assigned to — and I’ve been assigned to quite a few celebrities — that has never taken the time to say hi to me.”
She didn’t even say hello?? Damn. Majercak did say he “a lot of time” with Portia, and that she was “very pleasant” and even “carried on a conversation” with him. However…
“It started going negatively when she introduced me to Ellen and Ellen pretty much just gave me a side glance out of her eye and didn’t even say ‘hello,’ or ‘thank you for protecting my mother, my wife and me.’ It was very cold and it was very sly and it was actually kind of demeaning in the way that she treats people other than those who are in her circle.”
Well, or on camera, right?
Speaking of the public eye, why come forward now? Majercak said it was the other stories coming out which made him feel emboldened to speak up about this other side of Ellen he saw:
“It’s bugged me for years. I see this person come across as being very enlightened and positive and awesome and everybody loves her and is in awe and that’s really not the case when you meet her in person.”
That night Ellen absolutely killed during the ceremony. She bought pizza for the audience, she took a selfie that broke the Internet. Everyone loved her.

But not Majercak. He continued:
“When you see her on TV, people fall in love with her but it is a false facade and bravado. You start hearing these stories and I was like, ‘Man, there’s got to be more to this.’ She’s not the person she portrays to be that she’s playing off of society. That’s my opinion.”
Majercak finishes by saying his own image of Ellen soured that night — but the stories others have told have definitely reinforced it:
“I can absolutely see through interacting with her first-hand that she doesn’t care about anybody else as long as she’s getting what she wants. People are starting to see her true self and that really lends to the support of what my initial thoughts of her have been over the last six years.”
What do YOU think Ellen is really like off camera??
