We’re so glad Ellie Goulding and her photographer are okay!
On Monday, shutterbug Conor McDonnell shared a scary and unbelievable tale from Goulding’s tour. Let’s just say it’s a miracle the songstress is okay!

According to McDonnell, the pair were crossing a lake in the “middle of nowhere” Norway when their transport suddenly crashed through the ice. Obviously, the situation was quite dire and life threatening.

So me and @elliegoulding weren’t going to post about this but we decided that it’s too mad of a story not to tell. This photo is from when we were in Norway a few weeks ago – That moment when you’re in -25 in the middle of nowhere in Norway in the pitch black and your belt wagon crashes through the ice in the middle of a lake and you have to emergency evacuate through the roof. “Oh shit we’re in” was my first though. Second was to take photos. We were in the front cabin. That is pretty much under water in this photo. WOAH. While the pic is definitely gorgeous, we can’t even begin to imagine the fear the two must have felt as they watched the vehicle succumb to its watery grave!
On the other hand, we’re very curious as to what the friends were thinking when they decided to cross over ICE in a large contraption so far from civilization.
Either way, we’re glad the two are safe and can look back on this incident with humor!
