We reported the other day that Emma Watson is rumored to be cast as the Ariel to Sofia Coppola‘s Little Mermaid, and it seems like the Harry Potter actress is neither confirming NOR denying those whispers!
So, what did Em do when she was asked about those casting rumors on the red carpet for her film Noah?
She TOTALLY played the coy card and kept her lips sealed… well, kind of!!
She said:
“I actually dressed up as Ariel for my fifth birthday… I mean I├óΓé¼Γäód have to read it first. I love Sofia so much.├óΓé¼┬¥
Perhaps this is her subtle way of saying she’s waiting to receive the script for review?!
Hmmmmm, it IS plausible that Sofia would offer her the role, since they worked together on The Bling Ring!
We hope it’s true!! We can totally see Emma as Ariel!
Plus, she’d look FAB as a red head, don’t ya think???
