That’s right! We said pimp! Don’t try to fight us on this – Artie Abrams is legit!
As a fan favorite on Glee, many are happy to hear that Kevin McHale will get some more screen time starting tonight with the beginning of a new storyline for his character – a love triangle.
Turns out, in tonight’s episode, Artie will find himself between two fine woman – Sugar and Becky. He has a tough decision to make, but according to Kevin, it was one that he was really excited to play. He explains:
“I know! I was a fan of Artie and Tina and Artie and Brittany. I love it. I love when Artie’s in a relationship because they’re always substantial and last quite a while, and they always find fun stuff to do with Artie when he’s in a relationship. So I’m really excited to see what they do with this one because it’s definitely with someone that I’ve never really interacted with before. She’s hilarious and awesome, so I’m hoping that they can milk it for all that it’s worth. ”
So…Sugar? Becky? Who?!
Beyond tonight’s episode, expect to see TONS of Artie in the MJ tribute special. He’s already proven he can handle Michael’s catalogue (he’s performed PYT last season and was one of the lead vocals on the Thriller mash-up), but fans are going to see much, MUCH more of him in this episode. As to what songs he’ll be performing, we already know he’s going to be doing Scream with Harry Shum Jr., but as for his other selection, Kevin explains:
“There’s a number that Harry and I are doing that we really fought for, so we were excited to do it. “Black or White” is definitely another one that I was happy to do. Harry and I actually threw a few song ideas out there toward Ryan [Murphy] and the writers, and “Black or White” wasn’t one of them, so I’m so happy that they kind of didn’t listen to us there and added that one.”
Guess Scream was the one they fought for!
Fingers crossed that he gets out of the chair for the dancing? Yes?
