Next week, Gleeks will finally see the New Directions and the Trouble Tones go head-to-head in a the well honored tradition of competition between the kiddies. While in past years, the boys have taken on the girls in musical battle, now that Shelby has a choir group of her own, things are going to a whole new level!
The songs of Mash-Up are led by the show’s EPIC 300th performance, beautifully performed by Naya Rivera, Amber Riley and Heather Morris. Following her example are Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzel with a inneresting take on You and I by both Lady GaGa and Crystal Gayle (shout-out to the 80s!) and Mark Salling rocking out to Hot For Teacher. Hmm, wondering why!
Then, the New Directions round things out with two up-beat, throwback mash-ups: Hit Me With Your Best Shot/ One Way Or Another and I Can’t Go For That/ You Make My Dreams Come True.
The clear winner of the week is the Adele performance. Hands down!
